I am in a long-distance relationship with a wonderful, emotionally HEALTHY man and he's told me in the past that he likes to hear me cry (on the phone). Why would this be?

It would be better than seeing a girl cry. They get puffy cheeks and puffy red eyes and scrunch their face up... its pretty unattractive.

I feel so sorry for you. A real man does NOT like to hear or see his woman cry. I can honestly say that when I was young, I liked my woman to cry over me because it led to make-up sex and it showed what power I had over her. I am 38 now, that was when I was in my teens and early 20's, and it was so wrong of me.
You say its long distance and he is emotionally healthy? No, he is not. He is feeding for whatever reason off your emotions, and to top it off, he is feeding off NEGATIVE emotions. You might not understand it now, but someday you will. It is NOT healthy. I too have had a long distance relationship, even at 38. I tell you what, when I heard my woman cry, it made me sad. Why? Because we were far apart and I couldn't be there to comfort her. There were many reasons she would cry. Sometimes she would cry because she missed me, sometimes because someone in her life 2 hours away treated her bad...point is....I felt so bad because I was not there to hold her and comfort her no matter what the reason. So if your boyfriend gets a "kick" out of hearing you cry...he's a butt head and worse that we can't write on here. While you are crying, what is he doing? He's thinking of the power he has over you even at that distance and the things he can get away with. Lose him hun. He is NOT interested in your feelings. When you truely love someone, you would NOT want to hear your "mate" upset like like.

No.... it makes me sad to hear my girlfriend cry... and even sadder when there is nothing I can do to help her with the problem - whatever that may be.

Certainly NOT an enjoyable thing, by any stretch of imagination.

You may want to ask him why.... I won't automatically label him as weirdo or having issues of some sort.

For me it could be kinky or it could be spiritual.

It represents the submissive love of the female aspect of creation.

Even in pain the creation serves us.

Very feminine.

Obviously he is hungry.

This may be over the heads of the masses.

btw do you like to be spanked?

If not this guy may not be for you at this point of your development. ;0). If so.... move forward.

This answer is only for the enlightened. If you are not... then ignore this answer.

Blessings and peace to all,
all in all,
B

DANGER DANGER DANGER he is not right in the head. woman cying is supposed to either tug on a man's heart, and bring sympathy, or if it is soething that is over used annoying. He souds like someone who enjoys a woman feeling pain. And that means he is a predator.

Erm, no. Sure, seeing tears of laughter or joy is nice, but actually seeing a woman cry, no, that almost makes me cry, and I never cry.

Well, personally, seeing/hearing a girl cry, specially if she would be my girlfriend, is sad...I don't exactly know why he said it turns him on, but hey, there's WAY weirder things out there...

I don't know; sounds like a problem to me. To me, a woman crying is a big turnoff and a big problem.
Maybe you should try someone else...

I only like seeing or hearing a woman cry if it's happy tears, like if she is overjoyed.

No! My God, it makes me so uncomfortable I want to run screaming from the room.

Now if a guy says he *likes* to hear you cry... run away. As fast as you can.
