What they are wearing today is a pink collar with red and white flowers on it. It is a nylon collar that has some kind of soft dog safe gel in it for comfort. It has a durable and sturdy plastic clasp. The brand is hunt something. I like the brand and have bought a few collars and harnesses and leashes by them. The leashes have the same gel stuff in them, so it is comfortable to hold in your hand. The collars cost me around 14.00 euros.

My Mastiffs do not wear collars in the house or in our yard. I have heard too many horror stories about dogs getting caught on things and strangling.
However, when we go on walks I have two nylon collars, one for each dog. The collars house their identification tags. When I had a problem with pulling I used a prong collar twice and that was it. Never had a problem since.

For everyday use a buckle leather collar with the dog's tags. For walking, I use a slip collar or the Illusion collar. I've also used choke chains for walking and showing the dogs.

I use a snap closure collar. My dog is a Lhasa Apso (small), so I only put on the collar when he gets leashed for a walk or his hair mats. I want to replace this collar with a harness for small dogs because I don't like that it "winds" his throat or pulls his neck when we have a disagreement of which way to go. I worry about injury to his spine or even when he gets winded and coughs from pulling faster then I can walk. Tomorrow I'm getting the harness. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

I have 7 dogs and I am pretty much switching their collars every day.
All of them wear a very, very thick chain collar with a locks to hold them together, and a 2 inch spiked collar with their license, rabies tags and other tags attached to them.
Outlaw (male Pit Bull) has a silver spiked collar.
Dominance (male Pit Bull) has a white spiked collar.
Ruthless (male Pit Bull) has a brown spiked collar.
Reckless (male Pit Bull) has a black spiked collar.
Kobe (female Pit X Rotti cross) has a pink spiked collar.
King (male Doberman, fostered) has a red spiked collar
and Capone (male Doberman, fostered) has a blue spiked collar.
Wow, that was a handfull. I could've just had the same color put on all of them, but that would be boring. So I ordered all different colors on ebay. lol.

I have a metal chocker collar for my 2 dogs, I can never give me one dog a different collar...she hates other dogs and freaks out when she see one, so if I used something else she'd snap it. And I'd have a lawsuit on my hand...the other one can wear a normal buckle collar but lately he's been getting "bold" on walks, so its back to the chocker... I really don't like using it but its the only thing that works. :(

Well my German Shepherds both wear chain collars. This is partly because they are so big that regular collars wear on their skin and fur and partly because they are retired police dogs.
My border collies wear regular nylon collars with the reflective things on them so they're visible at night.
And my puppies all wear full body harnesses so they don't get hurt by the pulling at their throats.

I just have a normal collar for my dog. Whats so special to have a great collar for it? Because your dog knows that you are someone special that he knows in his heart.

I use a regular buckle collar. Sometimes I use a prong collar when we go to trials and I am carrying a crate (for a 90# dog) water bowl, a bag with treats for her, my bag and chair etc. It just helps to keep her close so I don't fall on my face:)

I have a red flat buckle collar on my dog with her tags on it - the red looks really cool against her black fur. :-) But when I take her for walks, I have to put a pronged collar on her or else she'll drag me down the street. It looks like a painful collar, but it just puts pressure on her.
