I don't know any other way to describe what I am feeling, but it feels like my brain is going to explode. My head has been feeling a lot of pressure inside it, and it makes my ears and cheeks feel swollen. Sometimes during the night it is hard to sleep and hard to wake up because it's so tight. I dont want it to be anything serious, but it's happening at this moment, and I have no idea what to do about it.

It sounds like a sinus infection. Try taking a decongestant like sudafed and see if it helps.

My allergenist had me sit down and lean forward. If you do this and feel pressure/pain in your forehead, nose and cheekbone areas, you most likely have sinus congestion. This is probably caused by allergies but possibly by a sinus infection, and you could also have an ear infection. If you have never been treated for this, I recommend that you see a doctor before self-medicating. You might have other health problems that influence how it should be treated.

For now, you could try a heating pad or a cold pack. You may be able to get temporary relief until you can get to a doctor. If you have pain that is unbearable, you might want to go to the emergency room, but this is an expensive alternative. Also, ERs have to deal with the Saturday night knife and gun club, and people who are bleeding get priority care (as they should).

well, relax, your brain has no sensory nerves, they do open skull surgery on brains with people wide awake because once the scalp is numbed, the brain feels nothing. it isn't going to explode.
what it does sound like is a possible sinus infection, and you would do well to see a doctor for that. In the meantime, a hot steamy shower will likely help with the feeling of pressure and allow some drainage of the fluids causing you to feel the pressure.

Yes, see your Dr.
Could it possibly be migraine/cluster headaches?
Good luck

Go to the Doctor please. I don't know what that is but it sounds not good. You need professional advice. Go to emergency room if you need to.
