How do you maintain a constant 5 o'clock shadow like a lot of people do on tv etc. This would involve not shaving since you would have to wait for it to grow back. What is the best product or way to always maintain a constant small stubble?

Thanks

Well, I think it looks horrible. I'm sick of seeing guys on TV like that. They're all just following somebody else's "look" -- SO stupid.

But.... since you ask, doesn't it make sense that you would figure out how long it takes for YOU personally (since not all people are the same) to achieve the look you want... then just shave that long before going out?

Let's say you only have to shave every other day, then do that, but if your beard grows out in 6-8 hours, then shave 6-8 hours before you plan to go out looking like that.

I hope this fad dies out soon.

5 o'clock shadow is so retro-80's - very Miami Vice. If you like the retro style, you can buy a beard trimmer with a guard. The guard is what gives you a close shave but not too close. It leaves just enough stubble for a shadow. You will need to play around with the guards that come with your trimmer to figure out which one gives you the exact length you are looking for.

Contrast to what the other girl said, I think a 5 o'clock shadow is sexy!
