How many ounces in a regular sized COD fish fillet?

When I served cod fillets, I always bought the 8 oz. ones. However, sometimes I cut them up for a cod nugget dinner, so they'd only be 2-3 oz. per piece. My distributor had anything from 4 oz. to 12 oz. fillets. 8 oz. was a nice middle.
