Well it does depend on what type of English accent. IMHO the hot ones are:
West Country
Other British accents, ie Welsh, Irish, Scottish (except broad Glaswegian)
I quite like the Birmingham accent, although many don't
Definately not:
Liverpool
Geordie
Cockney / Essex
Home counties
Yorkshire
Ipswich (Suffolk is OK, but Ipswich is too Londony)

First thought - Oh, my YES! (on guys). Second thought, not all English accents. A well-educated accent is completely hot, as is a Scottish accent, but the "can't understand a thing they're saying" type accent is not hot. The types of accents I hear in Dr. Who, My Family, Torchwood, and Coupling are all awesome.

Norther accents: VERY sexy.
Leeds / Manchester / Liverpool
Ouside England, Scottish accents are really sexy but Irish accents can be annoying (sorry guys)
Further afield - South African, and some American accents are v sexy
But i agree, it might just be a case of liking something a little different... (live in london)

The 'posh' clipped english accent is HOT.

Which English accent? There are so many which are SO different...Geordie, Scouse, Brummie, Cockney, West Country, Norfolk, Yorkshire....be more specific!

i'm a malaysian and i learn British English. but many of us can't speak the british accent. but for me, i will die trying to it cause the accent is so so unique! it's full of some kind of greatness, proudness, politeness and so confident! it's so beautiful that i can't say what am i actually thinking of it.

i have an english accent and i find the accents of certain parts of the country soooo annoying but dont we all!

I love any accent, especially English, Irish, and Israeli. Most other accents as well.
