Use egg noodles. I have used this one from Allrecipes. Many times I just use Chicken broth or stock instead of the water and bouillion, I just fill up the crockpot. REmove the bay leave before you eat. I also add some garlic powder to it.
I do mine in a crock pot. I use frozen egg noodles and add them about the last hour or so.

INGREDIENTS
4 cups chopped, cooked chicken meat
1 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped carrots
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup butter
8 ounces egg noodles
12 cups water
9 cubes chicken bouillon
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 bay leaf
1 tablespoon dried parsley

DIRECTIONS
In a large stock pot, saute celery and onion in butter or margarine.
Add chicken, carrots, water, bouillon cubes, marjoram, black pepper, bay leaf, and parsley. Simmer for 30 minutes.
Add noodles, and simmer for 10 more minutes

Use Kluski noodles. They'll hold up better because they're thicker than an egg noodle.

Will depend on on the context really. Which is better as a snack - fruits personally. It's tastier and gives you that little bit of sweetness. Which can be better as a snack if you are trying hard to slice back on sugar and lose weight vegetables
