you would totally know the difference if he liked you he would come over to you a lot look at you from across the room and have some (maybe very little) physical contact and I'm talking about massaging your shoulders and things like that. If he is just admiring you than its the good job, keep up the good work, looking great kind of thing hope this helps

I am sure your trainer, has someone. Maybe, he is just happy, about the way you have worked out and that is all there is to that.

I would assume he would tell you that he liked you or would ask you if you want to hang out sometime. If he doesn't, you may be mistaking his friendship for something more.
