Trims, Trims, Trims!

The best way to find the best products for your hair is to try them all. That would be pretty expensive but go over to a friends house and use some of her stuff. See how it works, and just keep trying new things. Hair may work with products from this company and not that company....it's all trial and error.

If I can suggest something, I would suggest you try a hot oil treatment....for a cheaper way to have great soft and silky hair with less frizzies, warm up some olive oil (regular cooking stuff) in the microwave and massage it into your hair while it is dry. Wrap it up in a warm towel from the drier and sit for an hour or so. Maybe give yourself a facial at the same time. Then get in the shower, and shampoo out all the oil (because water won't get the oil out--oil and water don't mix) and then condition your hair. Viola! Beautiful silky hair.

The most key thing to protecting your locks is to stay away from all heat. Yep, that means no hairdrier, no straightner, no curling iron either....It's very hard not to advert to these products but just try it for a week. Don't blow dry your hair for a week....try it. I know it's hard not to but if you stay away from things with heat such as blow driers, curling irons, straightners, etc....you will notice a HUGE change in the feel and look of your hair. It will be so much more healthy.

trimming the ends doesnt help hair grow. Once the hair is out of the folicle - i.e. its shoing through your scalp it is technically 'dead' just like a fingernail. The best way to help hair grow is to stimulate the scalp - massage etc.
This helps keep folicles alive. But sadly evey hair on your head has a life span. No matter how hard you cut it, it will only grow to one length. for some people they hair shaft lives for 2 years, for other just a year, and other maybe 5 or 6 years... its just up to your genes. Chances are if your family has thin weak hair that never gets past the shoulders, yours is unlikely to... however if you families hari is long past their bums, then yours has that chance too. If its starts to look uneven cut it, but dont snip it unless its really bad. I cut my hair every 3 to 4 months when it starts to lose the nice 'line' along the back.

all this 6 weeks stuff keeps hairdressers in business, but they learn all the stuff about hair above in college... like you dont nee to cut it every 6 weeks. Just makes it easier for them as they dont have to do such a rescue job if you keep it relatively in style.

If you are about 45-55 more protein can help too, as normally people this age cut down protein (red meat and eggs etc) because of cholesterol issues, but then they are also starting to lose their hair (women aswell as men) so eating a good balance of protein will help keep what hair you have left.

Hope it helps

There is nothing that will make your hair grow faster. A normal head of hair grows at a rate of 1/2 " per month. Your hair grows like a bulb in the ground. Cutting it does not make it grow faster, it just freshens the ends up to make it look healthier.

Keep it maintained, by getting it cut every 4 to 6 weeks, shampooing and conditioning, also use hair balms - oils like aloe vera. These products enrich the scalps natural oils and textures. Your hair will grow only if you maintain it properly and keep it trimmed.

Just let it grow. There's nothing you can do to make hair grow faster than it normally does.

Lavender oil has been shown to increase hair growth so massage the oil once a week and soak for 30 minutes before washing. Try http://solutionsforhairgrowth.blogspot.com/ for more details.

Make sure that you have all the dead ends trimmed off. It's harder for hair to grow if there are dead ends.

Try taking prenatal vitamins or just a multivitamin. My hair grew best when I was pregnant.
