I have having problems with bloating and diarrhea the last year or so and have seen my gp, who referred me to the hospital, which have now diagnosed me with ibs.I have had other tests for allergies and intolerances which have came back negative so basically its now down to me to find out what triggers it, so to save time had a food sensitivity test done at my local health shop which involved me putting my hand face down on a table and the lady who performed the test put a small pen like thing to my finger, which was attached to a machine which she inserted different little test tubes with the name of certain foods on it. The machine made a noise when she touched my finger with the pen thingy and by the noise it made she could tell which foods are a problem for me. I thought the results were farely accurate but my doctor assures me its a load of rubbish, not worth the paper its written on which i found quite disappointing. I paid £39.
Has anyone else had these tests?
