Type the first line
click Format
cl Borders and Shading
click "none"
this will clear all borders on the preview on the right
click on a line style to select it
it will automatically surround the image - which is not what you want here
click "none" again
now, click the edge on which you want a border
click o.k.

Go to Insert pictures, new drawing if you don't have the drawing bar already up, a drawing box will appear, click on the line icon and draw the line length and size you want and where you want it placed
