First of all, let me dispel the myth: chocolate does not cause breakouts.
Now, depending on the type of chocolate you eat, you'll have different effects in the body. Dark chocolate (70 or greater percentage of cocoa), when eaten in small amounts, contains antioxidants that, when taken regularly over time, can add about a year to your total lifespan. Eaten in small amounts, those same antioxidants can relax constricted arteries. Eating too much will have the opposite effect however, because of the fat in the chocolate.
Large amounts of chocolate may cause a caffeine buzz, jitters, or heart palpitations. Those sensitive to caffeine would eat chocolate in moderation, as about one ounce of the stuff has 20mg (30 mg less than your average soda pop).
Chocolate can give you a sense of well-being if you don't eat too much of it, partly from the chocolatey sweetness, the antioxidants, and the sugar and caffeine.
Milk chocolate and white chocolate are not good for your body. They contain little or no antioxidants. Skip them. Finally, like any candy, too much chocolate will put fat on your body. The most popular area seems to be th stomach, probably due the sugar rush chocolate can produce. (Sugar rushes often go right to the gut.)
A small amount of dark chocolate everyday isn't bad for you. The idea is to eat a couple of small squares, not to inhale a whole bar of the stuff. Dark chocolate is actually one of the better desserts out there you can eat (again, as long as you eat it in moderation).

It's true, dark chocolate can be good for you, but not in excess quantities. It has some antioxidant effects and may help lower blood pressure and cholesterole. As a matter of fact, if you eat one ounce a day, it is enough for those benefits without too much added calories. Just one ounce (a small square). But chocolate in other forms (milk chocolate, semi sweet chocolate, white chocolate) has not been proven any benefits. The oils in chocolate may cause some people to get oily skin, and the calories need to be watched because chocolate is high in calories. Of course there is a high sugar content also, which is not good for diabetics.

some people eat a donught and gain fat on their thighs. Others in their tummy. Everyone has different metabolism.
My girlfriend can eat 10 candy bars and not gain an ounce. Me? I eat one and gain four pounds of cellulite on my hips.
Your question is very general - so you get a very general answer.
Having a bad day and want a piece of chocolate? Go for it. Just don't over do it.
Having an okay day? Skip the chocolate.

Just make sure that like me you don't get addicted it's like a drug I sleepwalk to the fridge in the middle of the night and eat loads followed by a pint of full fat milk!!! Not good at all. But on the other hand I've been doing that for years and have never really seen a drastic weight change i'm a size 12-14 and had a child.

Dark chocolate (more bitter) is said to have the same effect on your body that red wine does. Better for blood pressure, stimulates neurons, better than coffee for you body. Milk chocolate can activate sensory neurons that are activated when one is in love or making love.

They say dark chocolate has antioxidants in it witch can help prevent diseases. However, in order to get enough to benefit you, you would have to eat a lot of it. Chocolate also has a lot of fat, sugar and other stuff in it, which you would be consuming at the same time. So i really don't think that eating all of that chocolate is worth it, especially if you don't wanna get fat.

I think anything is bad for your body if you over eat. A chocolate once in a while is not bad, just choose the small bites.
