High blood pressure (hypertension) actually can have few or no symptoms until it begins to cause other health problems. The most common symptoms are headache, dizziness, and blurred vision.
You may be experiencing hot flashes. You may be in perimenopause. No, you aren't too young. My perimenopause started at age 41. I'm still in it at 46.
Read more about perimenopause at http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/perimenopause/DS00554.
You may want to visit your physician for further evaluation; a blood test called FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone) may indicate that you are perimenopausal.

Well I am sorry to burst some bubbles...but here I go. I have had hot flashes and night sweats since the ripe old age of 23. When I went into OFFICIAL menopause , I was 43. Sadly I thought the reason the hot flashes intensified Soooo much was because my menstral cycle had stopped and that I was lied to about how miserable I would feel. I have literally wanted to move to Alaska. However I was diagnosed with hypertension and put on blood pressure meds. Hot flashes no more!!!!! I haven't felt this good since I was a teenager. They haven't concluded "study wise" whether one causes the other. But I know I never thought I would be so happy to be on blood pressure meds. Just sayin. And no, hot flashes are not external. They do start internally and push out..but evidentally,so can the ones caused by high blood pressure. Truly I believe you are experiencing flushing, which can be caused by many things including allergies. I would speak to your doctor to be safe though. Whenever you experience a symptom you normally don't experience and it becomes continual, you should look into the cause.

High blood pressure won't make you feel hot like that. Could be a hot flash if you are the right age for them. Sometimes I have gotten hot flashes for no particular reason, especially if I am embarassed or upset. I've also gotten some pretty severe flushes that feel very hot from taking large amounts of particular vitamins.

a hot flash starts almost at your chest level and travels up to your face and down towards your legs. It is an all consuming hot sweaty thing. Usually you want to just rib off your clothes and stand in front of a fan or air conditioner. High Blood pressure can present in your ears as a thumping, or they might feel cold, you can feel it in your carotid artery, jugular vein, a thumping, you can also feel it in your chest. Sometimes, there are no symptoms at all. Take your blood pressure, go to a k mart or Wall mart where they have the machines, or go to your local fire station, they can take it for you and let you know if yours is high. I suggest you have it taken regularly for about a month, once a week, better if at the same time each time. That way you will have a meter to know when yours goes up,and if you need to see a doctor. High Blood pressure and no treatment is very dangerous.
If your heart feels like it is thumping very hard, and perhaps your face is redder than usual, or if your ears hurt...then I think you should sit down, relax and take it easy. Stay away from caffeine and see a doctor.

High blood pressure is famous for having no symptoms. There are no symptoms that indicate high blood pressure, the first sign is a stroke or heart attack.
If you feel hot & etc., it's hot flashes or fever but it's not high blood pressure.

it very well could be hot flashes, evening primrose oil or black cohash can help. you know it's hot flashes when your the only one out without a jacket looking at everyone else shivering all bundled up, lol, winters the best!
sometimes medications, suppliments, and alcohol can cause this also. if it's just your face and ears it could be stress, anxiety, dehydration, hyperthyroidism, pregnancy, heart problems, diabeties, or even certain foods can cause it. talk to your doctor, they can test your hormone levels to know for sure if it is related and make sure it's nothing serious. take care.
