Not too sure of all the differences, but a psychiatrist is an MD and can prescribe medicine, while a psychologist has either a PsyD or PhD - not an actually medical degree, so they cannot prescibe drugs.

A Psychiatrist is a physician (of Psychiatry) and can Prescribe drugs. A Psychologist can't prescribe drugs and easily does counseling/treatment, biofeedback, hypnosis, issues like that. the two considered one of them could be considered Therapists as they the two do treatment. Sociologists are completely different; they study sociology that's the common dating of people interior of countless styles of societies and how they relate to themselves and others, etc...

Psychiatrists are medical doctors (and therefore must have a medical degree). They can prescribe medication for psychological disorders.
Psychologists are not medical doctors, and therefore cannot prescribe medication.
Psychiatrists also make much more money than psychologists do.
