Last night I made a pot of vegetable soup, and I made sure there was plenty of water, and put it on low, and I was going to cook it for several hours.. probably not a good idea in retrospect.. Well what happened was somehow the flame went out and what ended up happening was my kitchen got filled up with natural gas overnight, and thank God I didn't light a candle or anything, and I've spent the entire day airing out the house, trying to get the gas/gas smell out of my house, so the pot of vegetable soup (no meat or meat products) is still on the stove, and I need to know if I cook it now (everything is still raw) if it will be any good or do I need to throw it all out.

thanks

if you was going to cook it for several hours and the flame went out then you went to bed. did you not to think oh yes i have made soup i must go and turn it off then you would have known that the flame was out and could have prevented from the nautral gas? anyway the soup should be fine, you are lucky to be alive some are not lucky.
