Had to restore my operating system and lost everything. I need to restore my MicroSoft office 2003, but lost my original disc. I still have a copy of my registration number for the office software.

You may be able to get another disk sent to you if you registered with Microsoft or they may prodivde a download link.

You could also ask family or friends if they have it. You must know if it is Retail or OEM.

I had to do the same thing. This is what MicroSoft emailed me. Once the system is restored, we can reinstall Office 2003 on this machine, we can re-register it by calling the Microsoft Activation Center to make sure the Office validation is successful. The Office Activation Center can be reached at (888) 652-2342 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM Pacific Time.

The activation process is free of charge. Thank you for your kind understanding and cooperation.

Ask a friend if they have the origional disk. Install the software and use your licensing number. Often times, the disk will work with a variety of numbers. Once it is installed, it will go online to verify and activate the installation.

If you have the product key and you registered the software when you first installed it, contact Microsoft at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;CNTACTMS

Explain the situation and give them the product key number you have. They may charge you a minimal fee then allow you to download - key work "may."
