I had some of these problems for the same reason several years ago. It actually took me a couple years to figure out that I had fallen out of love with my husband and was in the need for a divorce. Sounds like something is eating at you--is it possible to talk it out with your husband?

Your question doesn't quite mention the reason for your panic. If you can mention that, then I can try to tell you how to solve the problem. Does it happen because he asks you to do something, is it when he asks you to go out with him, or to do anything else... Your husband is your life partner. He is your other half. You have to feel very safe when you are with him for he is your best friend, the person you look towards when you need anything. If you are feeling tense, it is because you haven't yet learned to see him as the person closest to you. When you can't breathe or begin to panic, close your eyes, clear your thoughts, think of the things that make you very happy and take a couple of deep breaths until you calm down. Slowly open your eyes and see your husband as the one who will always be there for you. You won't be at ease right away, but slowly, you will get comfortable with him and everything will be alright.

That does sound just like panic attacks. See a doctor. It might be a good idea to see a counselor too--especially if you think your relationship with your husband is making you have the panic attacks.

My boss used to give me panic attacks. I actually took a letter from my doctor and got her to back off. That was four years ago and we get along pretty good now.

Sometimes my wife makes me anxious if she is in a bad mood, but it usually doesn't last long.

I have been taking Paxil for more than ten years; I have taken other medications but Paxil is the one that works best for me.

I think I can kind of understand. I feel like that too and I panic when he's home and I look forward to when he leaves again. He leaves for all next week and I can't wait. I actually do cry and isolate as much as possible and I am in intense therapy for other issues and "home" is a whole different ball game..

Based on what you say, are you in this relationship because you don't see what it really has come to?
