Americares. It's an international relief organization. Unlike some other charities, most of your donation goes to the programs as opposed to marketing. I've been donating since Katrina.

I also tend to give money to Salvation Army. Especially during Christmas. Oh,and the UNCF occasionally since we get to wear jeans at work for a week if we do.

Do your research. Make sure the funds stay in this country, they are linking many charities to terrorists groups. They funnell the funds through charities to eventually buy arms.

Stick to the ones that have been around like Red Cross, Cancer Society, Childrens Miracle Network...

St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital
I sponsor a child thru World Vision and I am involved with the Voice of the Martyers. I also volunteer at the local Hospital which is very rewarding, I also give to the Galiliean Childrens Home in Liberty KY, They take in Children who are sick or from mothers who are in prison.

I pay 5.00 per month to NSPCC and 2.00 per month to cancer research, not enough I know but something is better than nothing!
