why would priests convert to Islam??!?

priests and monks convert....?!! and to islam?!
isn't it a bit strange ?!, why would make someone who is supposed to be great in his knowldge and strong in his faith convert? ,

I guess it is just the same as any of us that revert to Islam.
I was a complete agnostic and may Allah in his compassion forgive me. I would mock all religions and those who followed them and believed it to be what I termed "primitive propaganda for the masses".
So I really don't find it so strange to hear testimonials from people who were believers and administrators of a faith but then found the true path.
Their original calling may have well be in Allah's swt greater plan for their path in this life on earth.
I have seen some of those links and listened to Yusef Estes story. There is also a great interview with Yousef Islam formerly Cat Stevens the singer and how he came to turn his life around and follow Islam.
It is said that each day there are over 300 people in America alone who find their way to Islam.
I agree with you that www.turntoislam.com is a great site for those who are interested in learning the true picture of Islam.
It is also a valuable resource site for people like myself who are newly reverted to Islam.

For your interpretation of the story of Muhammed that you mentioned is factually incorrect and it is this type of bigotted ignorance that has lead to much of the unrest between all faiths not just Islam and Christianity.

For Priests must Sacrifice Pleasures that are the Foundation of Islam An Arab intellectual (EU) wrote a book. On TV he put bluntly what millions of Westerners already knew. Islam is a Libido "religion". All is based on the worst type of pleasures. The ones derived from Slavery. Muslim means "Submitted" Islam doesn't recognize individual freedom All people must be "Allah Slaves". Of course the Creator wants the opposite. HE gave Freedom,the most precious gift to humankind. If "Allah" wanted slaves And if Allah is "almighty" He certainly needs no man or mullah to impose his will As any intelligent believer would admit, nothing is impossible to "God" If He can create the Universes, HE can impose Slavery in one click so to speak. As He is imposing limits on Satan, his evil twin. If Allah was almighty, we all would live in perpetual terror to be suffering without the "FREE WILL" to stop the suffering since Slaves have no free Will according to Islam or at least the corrupted version of their book. Any priest converting to Islam was never a priest. Only an aborted failed priest that wanted the Butter, normal human pleasures or perverted ones (pedophily) The Butter's Money, Money or anything buying Pleasures And the Smile of the Farmer lady, POWER and Influence on People But Priesthood is a Sacrifice. It is all the contrary of the Ayatollah's or Mullah's life of endless hidden pleasures. That Sacrifice is the "suffering" to be Granted the real God's Power, the Power that Blesses people's hearts and heals all the pains with the Promise to meet God one Day. Not 72 virgins. Heaven is not a Brothel. The Spirit is incompatible with porn, pedophily and sexual slavery. By converting to Islam,all the weakest humans aspire to a life of pleasures and DOMINATION. Men dominating women. Women dominating their daughters. Older women dominating the young. Brothers dominating their sisters. burning them or killing them with the father's consent or the mullah's or the Tribal chief, all submitted to the many sheikhs themselves submitted to the "King" who is submitted to his Rivals (Fear and Suspicion). it is why any convert to Islam is a Slave who hates Free Will because it is TOO MUCH EFFORT. late A7mad Deedat,had so many debates during his life,he was challenged to talk about islam in a debate,he accepted the challenge,and he had so many ,most of them are available on video cassetts,you might find some on "youtube"or in "dailymotion"
Ahmad deedat is one of the 7afezeen for the quran,the bible,old and new," all the bibles"
after each debate he had,so many pple were reverted,there are so many who were educated under his supervision,but they are not as he is.

1)Because being a Priest is a very hard life. They can't get married for one. Converting to Islam they can, and they can marry four at a time.
What is better Than that, and they still can serve God.

2) because in Christianity a person has a free well to change their religion, and that is why you find out about them. In Islam. They have to keep it a secret or they will die if they chose to convert to anything out of Islam. Do you recall the man who converted to Christianity in Pakistan for 16 years he had to keep it a secret, and when they found out, he was about to be put to death. No freedom of religion in Islam.

3) Ahh, Texas. Good Bless America that give people the freedom to convert if they wish. In Saudi,. Egypt, Pakistan, Iran, etc. No freedom.

Because GOD Laws are made of three Books: The Old Testament, The new Testament and Quran as a conclusion all originated from the middle east. How can you understand GOD LAWS with out reading GOD Conclusion?
