I have really weird mind. Ok, so whenever I get in my room from school all I think about is turning on my computer. This is weird because all the way from school I try to think about doing my homework in my room, and there is a really big force inside me that reassures me that all I have to do is sit down and just start doing problems. Well, when I enter my room there is a constant flood from my brain (that is very enticing) telling me "I can do this stuff later, its a really easy problem anyway". It makes me want to stop everything and just start my computer and find something I would like as opposed to sitting and doing school work. This has been happening to me ever since high school, maybe even middle school. I want to change perception, I want to sit down and stare at a book, instead of sitting down and staring at computer screen.

I know you may not think about it this way, but it's procrastination. Really. There are some great self-help books out there about procrastination, and not all boring and dry ones. It's great that you are aware of the problem, so just face it head on and when you feel so "enticed", say "too dang bad I'm doing what I need to do instead". It's just a matter of making yourself do it no matter how much you don't want to do it. Think about how great you'll feel when the work is done and you can take a guilt-free spin on the computer. work for that feeling!

Study in a different place, or move the computer to the livingroom.
