Sorry you cant turn a boy into a gentalman. There is no hope for him. Get rid of him and make sure you have a gentalman before you make a comitment to him.

Give him some hints. Give an example like "Look at that guy. He is so kind to her". But don't make him do it all the time. Especially in front of his friends. I can act anyway I want when I'm with my peeps, but I am a true gentleman in front of my girl.

How does he get you to be a lady, i.e. doing everything he tells you to do?
Honestly, you shouldn't have such expectations or feel entitled to that sort of old-fashioned behavior unless you're willing to act your part also. In that system, women did not work, nor did they have much in the way of rights--they certainly weren't the social equals of men.

point it out to him in a gentle way and he should get the point. if not then maybe be a little more assertive with hints or just be straight forward w/him.
