Yes, I repented of my sins and He forgave me. Then I needed God to not only be with me but IN me so I received the Holy Ghost. I received it in evidence of speaking in tongues. (That's the way it has always happened when someone recieved the Holy Ghost. All the time in the Bible when you read of someone recieving the Holy Ghost, they spoke in tongues). When I received the Holy Ghost that meant God was coming inside of me. See, not only did I need Him to forgive me but I needed Him to be in me because the Bible says that when you receive the Holy Ghost, it will quicken UR mortal body to meet Him.
Then I needed to buried with Him in baptism because the Bible says, "Whosoever is born of the water AND of the Spirit shall enter into the kingdom of God. (notice water) When I was baptized, I was baptized in Jesus name because the Bible says that the only saving name. It talks about that in Acts 4:10-12. *Notice verse 12. Also because the disciples didn't do it any other way. See, the disciples knew what God meant in Matt. 28:19 when He said "to baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost." The disciples were Jews and they believed that Jesus was GOD in the flesh. The Jews were raised to believe that God was One and none was beside Him. They knew He was One and they knew that Father, Son and Holy Ghost was Jesus. Jesus was the same One who had spoken the world into existance, He had just come in the flesh (see John 1:1) and the disciples knew that.
So have I recieved Jesus? Yes, I have recieved Him when I fully obeyed His plan of salvation. (See Acts 2:38) When I obeyed Him, I received fulness of joy!!!! =) =) Think this isn't for you? Check again! The Bible says in the very next verse in Acts 2:39 that "this promise is unto YOU, and to YOUR children and to ALL that are afar off, EVEN as many as the Lord our God shall call." God is still calling people today and that means that this promise is still open and active. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. If you would like further study on this visit a First United Pentecostal Church near you and learn more about it.

Nope. I haven't found the command to get on my knees to "receive Jesus" in the Bible yet. I am, however, a believer.

Yes, and I'm still going into forclosure, being audited by the IRS, and living in a marriage that is obviously under false pretense.
I'm thinking Jesus had nothing to do with any of it . . . good or bad. Sure, he's in my heart . . . but a lot of good that does me when it's the physical world that's attacking me.

No, I'm an atheist and I'm straight. Is "receiving Jesus" the new term for "wide stance"?
