Hi, I just had surgery on my thumb so I've not been having the best week anyway, but my girlfriend is really starting to upset me. We've been together for two years and I'm a year and a half older than her (shes 16 and I just turned 18). Shes been starting arguments out of stupid stuff and thats getting to me. Tonight I had to go to the doctor for a check up on my thumb and she went and hung out with her friend thats a (straight) guy from 7pm to 2:45am. they went shopping, picked out the dog shes getting (which I was supposed to do with her tomorrow), went to a party, bowled, and went out to eat. Then when she got home she yelled at me because I asked her to call me for 5 minutes tomorow somethime in the day and she said she didnt have time. Then she got mad that I took a Hollister giftcard my mom got me for my bday back and got cash for it, and used half of the money i got back for a new guitar strap instead of saving it. Then shes like "just go marry your guitars. I bet your gonna take everyhting I got you back too, sorry its not guitar stuff. Im sorry its not even good enough. I cant stand you" (and I liked what she got me) Should i be putting up with this? is she being fair to me?

Sounds to me like she's got some issues. you have to ask yourself do I WANT to put up with this? Do I deserve better than this? I would be very concerned that if she is spending alot of time with another guy and then getting upset with you after....like maybe she has some guilt feelings and she's attacking you before you have a chance to question her about her behavior. Also remember she is very young as are you. Don't get yourself into something that makes you unhappy. Do you want to be with someone who seems selfish? I can't tell you what to do you have to answer those questions yourself. I can only tell you what I think and that is this..I would not want to be with someone who acted like this. You do however owe to yourself and to her to at least try and talk with her about it.
It also sounds like she may be a little jealous of your guitar playing. do you spend alot of time playing with your buddies? I find nothing wrong with you buying the strings......everyone needs an outlet that makes them happy and that they enjoy doing it helps to relieve stress.
Good Luck!

Ok - so you're like dating for 2 years and after your surgery she starts behaving like this? Or has she alwasy been this demanding? She sounds like high-maintenance to me.
Can't believe she got mad at you because you asked her to call you for a few minutes because she "doesn't have time"? What's up with that? Seems to me like she's stepping out on you. Break it off with her - let her go her own way because she's obviously got something going on with that other guy she spent 7pm to 2:45 am with...
I would drop her like a hot potato.....but that's just my opinion.

It sounds like she's just picking fights with you, perhaps to end the relationship, I'm sorry to say. No, she's NOT being fair to you, and you shouldn't put up with it. Explain your concerns, and if she doesn't respond rationally, or not at all...then you should seriously consider breaking up with her.

Normally black cats are unlucky creatures to be avoided at all costs, but this time she is right.
Its her way of backing away from you and its a unique way. Some girls stop communicating and some act like this.
Move on....

no, she's being immature. that's why i can't stand females younger than me. i don't want a girlfriend; i want a woman-friend. she has to be at least on my level or more mature than me. if i was in your shoes i might dump her and move on to women who actually appreciate me. it seems like she doesn't love you and is only using you. you have grown up, but she has not.

I wouldn't want to be with a girl like this. It does sound like she's trying to break up with you. I suggest you break up with her, and if you feel like it, find someone else.
