I believe in the story of Christ and in God and the bible. But i am not naive. God made Jesus of flesh and blood like the rest of us so he probably had the same flaws. He was probably tempted by the pleasures of the flesh, it doesn't mean he acted on it (overly religious people) but if he did, who cares? He was only human. Does that in anyway change the sacrifice he made for all of us? Do you remember when Jesus said "May he who is without sin cast the first stone"? He cast no stone. The Bible says was God's son. It never said he was perfect.

Hang on mate - you're talking about worldly love not the love described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8; '... love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things; Love never fails ...

Well, I've often wondered about this question myself. How can Jesus have been fully human and not want sex? How am I supposed to relate to a god who doesn't want sex? I remember hearing about one of the apostles (Paul, I think) who was always referred to as "the one Jesus loved." and wondered. Possibly, if the Catholic church had brought the question up and discussed the differing types of love, I could have stood to stay there.

I'm reading this Sophian Gnostic stuff now about how Jesus married Mary Magdalene, and they had kids. I used to think the Gnostic concept of Sophia was just a story-telling way of explaining real spiritual things. Like the outflowing aspect of the Lifeforce we call the Feminine, eventually gets weaker as one form of Spiritual Life creates another, and that is how "evil" crept in. So I'm witholding judgement at this time.

I think its a valid question and not blasphemous at all. How do you know he never had sex?? Im sure he did, he is human after all. It doesnt make him a bad person. thats whats wrong with religious fanatics...you dont even pay attention to what is said before defending Jesus...he didnt need defending here. valid question, and if he did have sex, im sure he loved it.
