I read somewhere that they open their eyes within a week, but I think the author failed to include that it varies with different breeds. I'm kinda worried.

dogs no matter waht the breed usually open their eyes between 10-14 days. You will notice little slits at first they don't just open them like overnight. Don't force the eyes open. At the same time they will also open their ears. tehyshould be wormed along with mohter at 2,4,6, and 8 weeks,,, tehy should have their first vaccine at 6 weeks
Pups should also be started weaning at 4 weeks old

When our dogs had puppies they didn't open their eyes for about 11 days after they were born---it is completely normal for their eyes not to be opened yet.

My puppies eyes started to open on the 10th day. But weren't completely open until day 14.

I would try not to worry some pups do open there eyes at 7 days some it can be 10 days but most do have them open by 14 days and you may see some litter mates open only one eye at a time and and it does not mean that all pups will open them at the same time each pup will when it is time

I dont know what planet that author was on! Puppies open their eyes at 10 earliest and often as late as 2-2.5 weeks. Dont worry, your squeakies are fine!

the eyes should open around 8-10 days...
dont worry if they are not open yet you still have time...
can you see on the sides of their eyes are they beginning to crease?
