Science goes into the field and finds things out and returns with the findings, just like Sherlock Holmes. So they HAVE found cells. They HAVE found fossils. And all the other stuff. They can show it. They can demonstrate evolution. The theory of evolution is like the theory of electricity. It IS incomplete, yet over and over again it can be shown. (Try this. Suck your thumb and get it real wet. Take a light bulb out of a lamp and then turn the lamp on. Stick your thumb in the light socket. Even if you pray to Jesus not to let electricity harm you, see what happens.) SOOO then -- God is kidding around with us? He's saying, "Red isn't red. It's blue!"? What goes on here? Why is it when the collection plate comes around I can't think a couple of hundred dollars into it but when carbon dating shows that earth is 4 1/2 billion years old, god is just fooling us to test our faith? What is god then? Some kind of devil? A comedian?

craigd25 -- Then I'll vote for Hillary, buddy. Carbon dating was tested on a document 110 years old and 10 separate daters were correct within 5 minutes. Pretty accurate.

shaolt20 -- You can't see evolution? Look in the Encycopedia Brittanica. Moths in one English town went from all white to all black in 25 years when the town went from farming to mining. The evolutionary record is incomplete but DOES show evolutionary cycles. You can't comprehend a million years which is a few seconds in evolutionary time, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Nan -- whose asking? All I'm saying is that christians sure hate science. Is that because science threatens certain beliefs? It shouldn't, or it's a pretty weak 'faith'.

If they had the mental agility to follow your analogy and interpret it in light of their faith - they wouldn't be Christians in the first place.

Why did no longer God transcribe a functional scientific handbook into the Bible for those primitive human beings, relatively than transcribing rituals that accomplish no longer something? Why would not God clarify the thank you to fabricate antiseptic ideas, sterile dressings, tetanus vaccines and antibiotic creams? Even extra useful, why no longer clarify the thank you to construct a famous person Trek Tricorder to at present heal the wound? Even extra useful, why did no longer God layout the human immune equipment to steer away from all infections interior the 1st place and eliminate the discharges thoroughly? Why might God intentionally inflict those with all of those categories of strange discharges?

I don't understand your question. How is God "fooling" us, exactly? The majority of Christians believe in evolution. There is no reason to assume that the book of Genesis was intended to relate history. And even if Genesis does relate history, the time estimates are based on combing the E and J accounts.

The Prankster Most High created light in-transit from all those galaxies far, far away - so when you're watching light from over 1 million light years away, God is just pulling a prank on you. Same with dinosaurs, The Prankster put them into the ground to test your faith!

According to Christianity it is the Devil trying to deceive the world. There is one thing Christians can't change no matter how they try (or tried), you can't completely cover up truth! It will always be there for people who want to know to find. The Earth is not 10,000 years old, it is over 4 billion. We have hard core evidence that they do not have.

Carbon14 has a half-life of 5730 years. Carbon dating is only able to determine ages up to around 40-50,000 years old and does not usually take into account the flood of the Bible which would upset the C14 to C12 ratio in the biospere by a factor of 7 to 9 bringing the age of the earth to around 6000 years....just as the Bible says. We still find C14 in coal and oil and other materials like fossils where it should be totally gone.

God has no need to fool anyone...He is true.....it's Satan that is the liar and the father of it.

We are bound by the laws of nature. Christ would bend those laws but we cannot because we are not divine. And your story does not really compare evolution to electricity. I can stick a knife in one of those plug-in things and get shocked. I can turn a light on and see electricity. But I cannot put a chimp on a table and see it evolve into another species. Evolution is not observable. Saying you have "observed" evolution through fossils is like saying I am a friend of Bruce Lee because I went to his grave.

Here's the definition of fool:

from Psalm 14: 1: The fool has said in his heart,“There is no God.”

Oh, and this was so important it was put in there twice word for word Psalm 53:1 say it also.

So, I guess God is allowing people to be "fools" if they choose to reject Him. I don't understand Him, nor do I understand the so-called scientific evidence. Scientists don't understand it as well as they claim to...it all comes back to faith, and mine is firmly planted on the Rock of my Salvation.

you know, I don't know the physics behind walking on water either..hmm. How did that ever get past when I organized my beliefs..?

Here is a short answer to your cave man like thinking. Imagine a world were there was no need for faith...you know, you could knock on a church door and say, prove it to me and they would grant you wishes like a genie. what kind of person would result from that instant gratification?

I am a Christian and God isn't fooling me.
You listen to satan too much. If God is truly in your heart you would have faith.
Just have faith, then you don't need proof.
