I'm 16 years old and there's this girl who sits next tome in class and shows all the clasic symptoms of liking me.( giggles around me, always glances at me, finds ways to touch me, smiles when I look at her, lets me were her jacket). I even tested her by telling a really lame and horrible joke and she laughed at it. I asked her out and she said no. Is she playing hard to get or is she just being polite?

Strange. I never heard a girl doing all that and then saying no. Maybe she just was playing around with you or she was dared to see if you would say yes. Maybe she isn't ready to go. Do you guys know each other well? Talk to her more and see how she acts. Or wait for her to make the next move.

I was the same way at 16. I loved to flirt. I was scared for a boyfriend tho. When i did get my first boyfriend, we had talked alot so i felt comfortable around him and not so afraid to start a relationship. Maybe all you need to do is talk to her.

well she could be doing two things
1. She really does like you but wants to get to know you better first/not ready for a relationship
or
2. She is leading you on which will only end in heart break
I would confirm her -n- ask her what is up -n- why she say no..I know you maybe thinking telling your feelings will make you see unmanly it won't. show her your feeling

shes either screwing with u or just was embarrassed for some reason and said no (most likely #2) im sure she likes u but maybe her friends dont and shes influenced by them or she just not ready, keep being friends with her, establish a very nice relatinchip, and it will come (but she does like u)

Maybe she is not allowed to date yet. Just get to know her as friends. You are still young and you can never have to many friends if it doesn't work out in the future.
