Diagnostic test showed I need a new distributor and knock sensor. I replaced both. The new distributor stopped the car from cutting off but my car still wont start 5 out of 10 times. The break pedal gets hard and the car shows no life. A 10 minute wait is required. Mechanics have no idea what the problem is. I really need help.

Cranks no start, does not crank? First thing that confuses more than one mechanic working on Nissan's is the start signal fuse. Please make sure it is good. E-Mail me if you want

Check for oil getting into your distributor; This seems to be a common problem here: http://www.carsurvey.org/viewcomments_review_51497.html
