Please call the emergency vet or your vet if he has an after hours phone number, do not give anything without your vet's ok. You could cause more problems.

It sounds like your dog needs to be seen by your vet today, not Monday. You should talk to your vet today and tell them about the pain and swelling. I'm sure if the dog had bitten you and there was pain and swelling you would be at the ER right now and not on line. You can prevent many serious things now that could happen to your dog if you wait until Monday! Please take care of him ASAP. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just telling you the truth. Hope all goes well;~//

What's aspirin going to do?? Might take away some of the pain, and a little bit of swelling. Your dog needs his neck properly cleaned and looked at by a vet. He might need an antibiotic to fight infection, if this hasn't already been cleaned immediately after the attack.

Aspirin will thin the blood.. That will help how?? Infection is your big concern..

No you call you vet now and then have him or her tell you what to do. If your dog is that badly injured you should not wait until Monday! Especially if there is swelling of any kind. Infection will set in very quickly and then by Monday you can be dealing with a very sick dog!
How can you just sit there and see your dog in pain???
Get on the phone now!
Go to a 24 hr emergency vet clinic!

Animal bites can get infected very quickly, please take him to the vet ASAP. Meanwhile use Betadine to clean out any wounds, you can put some Neosporin type stuff on it too or an antibiotic type spray. Aspirin can be given but if he is not too painfull it is best avoided as it can cause bleeding in the stomach. Make sure the vet x-rays his neck as the spine can be injured and you not know it.

Take him to a 24/7 Emergency vet and don't give him anything unless the vet says to.

OH poor baby! I have 3 boston terriers... you can give him some baby aspirin 1 at a time. I would certainly call your vet - they may have an emergency contact for you or at least some advice. Keep a close eye on him! Try putting a cold wet towel on his wounds (if he'll let you.) Good Luck and please feel free to contact me, Bostons are my weakness.
