Even though Meryl Streep and Robert Redford are in it as well, I just can no longer sit through anything with Cruise in it. Ever since he started up with the whole scientology mess he's just not entertaining to me anymore.

I’d like to know if I’m alone in this thought or if others feel the same way I do.

Bryant T:

Thank you very much for your story. I’m glad you found someone to help you see things without judgement. As for my question; I believe in this case Tom Cruise HAS changed and he changed BECAUSE OF scientology. Yes he’s been a scientologist for years and I still liked him but he changed dramatically when he reached the level of OT7. I’ve heard from many ex members that it changed you and he’s no exception. He acts as though he’s infallible and that he can say whatever he wants to whomever he wants (Matt Lauer, Brook Shields, his idea that he know all about the evilness of psychiatry because he read some stuff about it). Tom Cruise never acted that way before. At least not in the public eye. And this is why I can’t stand him anymore. I don’t like overly arrogant people and I don’t like him.

For what it’s worth, your story was very enlightening and I try my hardest not to judge people. I wish I can tell you I’m 100% successful at it but I do keep trying.

What does his religious belief have to do with his acting? Did you enjoy his acting before you knew he was associated with scientology? What has changed with Tom Cruise? He is the same guy, with the same religious beliefs, with the same acting skills.

All that has changed is something within you.

If you really enjoyed him before, you are robbing yourself from what you once loved.

Tom is like he has always been.

If you are of a different religious persuasion and judge him as less good then you, because he sees God from a different perspective, then you should read more of your holy text about loving others and judgment.

Not judging you love, but listen to a story about a similar situation.

I play Volleyball, and have for about 16 years now. When I first started playing in the league, I started with my first men's team after about my first year. At that time during my life, I was going through some hard times, my wife ran off with one of my friends, my son was diagnosed with AD, my Dad developed Alzheimer’s, my Mom died and the list goes on. My entire life was a struggle, except the night I played Volleyball. For those 2 or 3 hours I was able to forget everything and focus on this sport. It was the highlight of my week during that time and very therapeutic.

Then out of the blue I discovered that half the team was gay... I was crushed. One of my best friends told me if I stayed on that team my reputation would be ruined. I was just before quitting, when one of my girl friends asked me this question. "Did you enjoy your team before you knew half of them were gay?" "Of course" I said, "it is the one thing in my life where I got relief from my challenges!"

She asked, "What’s changed?"

Half of them are gay!"

She responded, "Did you enjoy the team before you knew they were gay?"

"Yes, of course!"

"Then you are a fool. Nothing has changed. They have always been gay. If it was important and good for you before you knew they were gay then it still should be. Nothing has changed except your perspective."

It was a great revelation. I could have stopped playing and lost out on all these years of enjoyment, or do what I did, not judge them and continue on. Ultimately the gay guys left the team one by one, it continued on for many years and won many tournaments and divisions.

My girlfriend was very wise.

Life turned out great! My son conquered his AD, my business still supports me, I have grown spiritually. My Dad joined my Mom on the other side, my ex wife married again to some other guy besides my ex-friend and her new husband is great, I really love him.

Had I let the concept of good or not so good result in a judgment of evil concerning my gay teammates then that judgment would have taken away the one place of solace in my life at that time. The results could have been catastrophic for me.

The result of me leaving their judgment up to God continues to bless me to this day.

Beloved, the reason for the fall of man from the kingdom, occurred because of eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. It is the original sin that is passed down from the beginning to this day. Satan lies and tells us that the fruit thereof is sweet when in fact it is the bitterest of fruit.

I no longer wish to taste it.

The nature of the God conscious or the Christ conscious is one of brotherly love.

Love all, serve all.

Blessing and peace to all,
All in all,
B

those he's no longer in LOL. No, ok, video clips with Tom Cruise the place he's very nicely. some solid adult males is powerful, Jerry Maguire is very nicely, Interview With a Vampire. He does a tremendously solid pastime in Magnolia, inspite of the indisputable fact that some discover that movie heavy-going. the two Minority rfile and final Samurai are solid a lot of ways yet have disappointing ends. Oh and in case you like to make certain youthful Tom Cruise look into Legend. that's an exceptionally undesirable 80s myth, despite if it has Tom whilst he's youthful and awkward that's form of a snicker.

I never liked the guy before he teamed up with scientologists anyway, so no, wont be watching anything he is in, irrespective of co-stars.

Not me. I used to like him, as an actor and as a person. It's not really the scientology thing that ruined him for me.. it was more like the flipping out he started doing after he and Nicole split up. http://pics.livejournal.com/lupychica/pic/00003e94/g3
