ok wel i just heard my computer sign in but it took 10 minutes..... but the backround (explore.exe) isnt showing up?? its like i played some INSTENSE game and everything is taking a long time to load up. Whats wrong with the update??

it could have gone into an infinite loop and then gave up trying to complete the loop and booted up "normally"

If you are sure your computer started acting up immediately after the download, the download was not successful.
I suggest you go for a system restore to an earlier date and try again.
click Start
cl Help
cl Undo changes with System Restore
After you return to a previous working state, I suggest you Restart.
Then, create a system restore with today's date and make a note that it is "prior to installing whatever."
Now go for the Update.
Try it out.
If it messes up again, you can go right back to a previously working state with System Restore. If it is successful - good for you.
It is a good idea to create a new restore date immediately before installing anything - just in case.
