removing password protection from a file?

If you password-protected a file by:
File
Save as
Tools
General
then issued a password

to remove it
open the file
you will have to give the password
in this window, delete the **** which stand for the password

If you're saying you forgot the password - you're out of luck.
When I protect a file, I create a second file with a hint.
