So I want to wait till marriage to have sex. I think it is because I grew up being taught that, but I don't know if completely know why I feel that way. I am not real religious, but I feel like I should wait, but I also feel like does it matter to wait. Especially since most people have sex before they are married anyway, whats the point of saving myself for someone when the odds are the guy hasn't saved his self for me? So I guess I am just wondering should I stick with waiting even though I don't know why I am exactly or should I just maybe be open to the idea of having sex before marriage? Thanks... sorry if this seems like I already know the answer, but I really don't

Ya know there are not allot of young people with good values...And it sounds like you have your values in place and you are a smart person...So you keep your self until you are ready to marry and don't be ashamed .... More people need to be like you and maybe learn something from you....

Aside from faith issues, sex is a shared intimate experience that can strengthen a marriage. If it is cheapened by sharing it with others, then it loses that ability. This concept is much more important to the woman than it is the male. Sex before marriage implies that sex outside of marriage is fundamentally okay and from there it is only a short step to the idea that sex outside of marriage is okay while married to you.
Shared intimate experiences is the key. Sex, cuddling, praying, joking, talking, planning the future. Shared intimate experiences.

Most people... well, most WOMEN... regret having sex before marriage because they gave something as special as "making love" to someone who most of the time doesn't stick around.
So I guess it kinda depends on if you want to take that risk or not.
But if you do have any kind of belief in God at all... Having sex before marriage is a sin. It's not pleasing to God at all.

You save yourself a lot of heartache if you wait... not to mention possible infections and pregnancy. It takes character to wait, so be true to yourself and don't yield to "what everyone else is doing."

You should wait solely based on the fact that God says so. Also, don't you think that God is trying to tell you that if you have even the slighest leaning in that direction? Follow God and you can never go wrong.

Wait, it's worth it. You just don't want to give yourself to anyone
who doesn't care and it can destroy your soul for further relationships. That's why there so much divorce and crap out
there now. You don't have to be religious. It's common sense.
