I am going to New York in February with my college, and was wondering if there were any specific places that would benefit my trip, baring in mind I can't go too far from the hotel. I am staying on 30th Street, on the corner of 8th Avenue. We are already visiting the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. Any suggestions would be appreciated! :)

We stayed on 28th and 3rd last december and found it easy to visit most things.
Try Radio City which is up near Maceys.
Then you have the Rockerfeller Centre and its 'Home Alone' Xmas tree and skating Rink.
You have Madisson square garden very close. Then Broad way is a few Blocks North.
If your into photography or Telescopes etc, take a stroll to the B and H store, which is a huge Jewish store where nothing is too much trouble if you want to enjoy a few hours with an electronic Telescope and so on.
Finally go south on 8th and you will find Katz, the diner which was used in 'when Harry met Sally' the food is good and chances are you will bump into anyone of the dozens of film and sports stars who eat there.

February is a great time to visit if you are on a low budget. If it snows go to Lincoln Center then Central Park. Both sites are illuminated by the snow.
