As far as respecting the religious traditions of non-Western culture I say no.

How can one honestly respect an Asian religious tradition (or frankly their culture in general), while assuming every follower of that tradition will burn alive on Satan's BBQ for all eternity? That's impossible. That equates to 0 respect. Some might even go so far as to call that racist?

There are millions of 'non-Western' Christians and Christianity itself originated in the Middle East.
Of course it is possible to respect cultures that are not Christian, for example, I have so much respect for the peace and non-violence found in many Eastern religions..but I don't believe in them.
Your question also assumes that Western culture is completely in line with the techings of Jesus, which is obviously incorrect.
God bless

What's that got to do with race?
Are you saying that fundamentalists don't respect the religious traditions of Christian fundamentalists in Asia? By that rationale, you are a racist for not respecting the religious traditions of Christian fundamentalists.

Fundamentalists don't respect more of Western culture, and the Christian church in general has a dreadful historic reputation for cultural imperialism through insensitive and often violent proselytising.

Have You ever been beaten over the head with a Bible? You know what i mean, the door-to-door type Christians we all dread and hide from and cuss out on our doorstep.

Fundies love their fellow man and hope the devil STARVES at his BBQ. They love these Asians so much that they want them to stop their "evil" ways and go to heaven.

And now You know why they hit You over the head with a Bible.

We respect people made in His image but we are told by God mind you to have no other gods before Him. We will honor God, not man and demons!
If one wants to walk in love, he must fear God and not be a people pleaser!

There are many "non-Western" Christians, so your whole question is silly.

If any belief or practice contradicts the Bible, then that belief or practice must lose, whether it is "eastern" or "western".
