I just think my life would be so much better if I could have zero contact with them ever again and move somewhere to the other side of the world so I'd never even have to know what's going on with any of them. Anyone else ever feel that way?

I'm not sure I wish they were dead, but there were times when I was younger where I really did wish I could just get the heck away from them for a while. Depending on how old you are, there is hope - you can eventually move out and distance yourself if there are bad things happening. Don't wish them dead, though - one day they will be and you might regret saying that!

Wishing they were dead? That's a bit harsh. But I do feel where you're coming from. I've been estranged from my family for many years and we live in the same town!
I get along wonderfully with my hubby's family. They've taken me in like I was one of their own. I guess that makes it easier, when there's those who are willing to show you love and acceptance compared to those who don't.
I think if someone's making you that miserable, it's best just to walk away. It can be difficult but it makes it so much easier when you have those around you who support you.

yeah that exactly how i feel right now. but then again it also depends on the situation. if (no offense) ur just exaggerating. people tend to do that. but yeah.... i do feel that way.
