I dont want XPs hide inactive icons or whatever. I want to hide my icons but still have them running in the background. Any help would be appreciated. Whether its a tweak or a program.

i dont want to hide the taskbar either. i just want the icons to hide.

Right click on task bar click properties then click auto hide task bar then if you want to see your icons just hold your cursor over the task bar they will show up hope this helps

Click- Start - Control Panel - TaskBar & Start Menu - AutoHide the taskbar - OK
Left click to hide it while a program is running.
Touch it with your mouse pointer to temporarily retrieve it.
