I have just recently gotten a puppy that had been neglected and she has a few drops of dried hot wax from lilke a candle or something on her nose. n e one know how i can get it out of her fur? plz b/c she is black and the wax is pink and looks bad.

you can try putting ice on it for a few minutes, once the wax gets cold it is usually easier to kind of crack it into pieces. If she has long hair, I suppose you could just trim it out. In any event, it won't stay there forever- if she's already traumatized you may just want to leave it be.

Be careful with the ice. If she was burned by the candle you can make the burn worse. Cold makes the blood vessels constrict and more tissue will die. She is probably fine, candle was does not usually burn the skin very badly. But I would make sure.

I would cut the hair so you can see how the skin looks under the wax.

Ya just put ice on the wax on her fur n take it out..if she's too freaked out about the stuff on her nose...wait for her to get over it then try..

Ice works on gum in the fur too

try peanut butter mixed with (human hair) conditioner but loosen it up using ice first
