They already HAVE the answer. Watch Formula 1. Those wet tyres pump MASSIVE amounts of water.

That IS the solution. Slots and grooves to pump water out of the contact patch between the tire and the road. That's why the tires on your car aren't slicks. They would work GREAT in dry weather, but they need the slots and grooves to pump water out in wet weather, and to help grip in snow.

However, if you do in fact have something new, don't do ANYTHING with it until you get a patent on it. If you don't and contact any tire manufacturer, well, they WILL patent it, and you will not be able to prove that you gave them the idea.

Well the correct way would be to get your idea Patented , them maybe approach some Tyre manufactures.

Do be care full as there are many rouge Patent companies that will charge you money and steal your idea.

It will be under intellectual Property in a Yahoo or google search.

It will be very costly to pursue your ideas, Remember these companies have millions to spend in Research and development , so would be wise to see if your idea has already been patented.

Good Luck

For your protection, you should, first, get a patent. It is somewhat costly, but, in the long run, could save you millions if your idea is workable.

Suppose you contact a tire manufacturer with your idea. Nothing will prevent them from using your invention without paying you a dime. Even if you protest, and show them drawing as dates, purportedly "proving" the idea was yours? What would prevent them from countering with a claim that the idea had been in development for years?

Protect yourself.
