If parts of the US get their way, they will!

In some parts of the US killing a pregnant woman is already a double homicide and they created this law to set up a precedent for abortion being murder.

Killing a pregnant woman is particularly disgusting and horrific crime but I'm still pro-choice.

Since it's the only legal form of murder than "they are just performing a service." Really those who decide to get an abortion are to blame for what happens. It's their decision to get one or not.

My friend got an abortion in High School, she feels really bad about it, so I feel sorry for her and do not hate her in any way. It's a hard decision some people make. I feel bad for those women who decide to do that. They think there's no way out... But I don't see why murder is the "right" answer. If you can't have a child then give it to someone who can't get pregnant. Adoption not abortion, 9 months out of your life is a short time to give someone their whole life. I don't even care if it's incest or rape, the child doesn't need to pay for what someone else did to you. Whether it's deformed or not it's still a person and other people would still want to adopt it. Some people are afraid of carrying it and then giving it up to a loving family because then they don't believe they could do it. Well, if you love the child you would. Some adoption situations you can find out there allow you to be in the child's life, so it's not like you wont see him or her ever again. Fear creates abortion not love, which creates life. Love is giving someone their life even if it came from being raped, love is giving life. Some people out there believe it's not a baby until it either comes out or is so many weeks inside the uterus. At forty days it's beginning to look like a little person. It has a heart beat, eyes, a couple of spots where the ears will be formed, arm and leg nubs. At 16 weeks, which is about the time when most abortions occur, it looks exactly like a skinny little baby.

A few minutes after my husband and I had sex the night our son was conceived we look into each others eyes and felt strange. We both felt like there was another presence there, we KNEW we were pregnant. It was an immediate feeling that we were going to have a baby. We felt like we weren't alone, sure enough we were right. That very night his spirit was with us, just a few minutes after the deed we knew we were with child. I remember the exact night my son was conceived.

Because some people don't believe that a baby is a person until a certain stage in its forming. Some people say that when a baby is first conceived that it is a human. Others say that it is alive after three months. Others would even say that it isn't alive until it leaves the mothers body. Some doctors will even do abortions when the baby is being delivered. It all depends on the state you live in and the laws that have been passed.

The pro life movement would tell you it's because leftist
"activist judges" have been in control of the supreme court for the last 30 years. That just because someone isnt charged with a crime, doesn't mean they aren't guilty of one. And to illustrate their point, the particularly ballsy pro life advocate
might invoke the long history of oppresssed peoples such as blacks and jews who at a certain time in history were legally persecuted and often killed and that the "unborn" as they call them are just the latest example of an oppressed class of people destined to be liberated.

The tricky question of course is when does life begin? One can argue trimesters til they are blue in the face but the fact is,
nature has drawn a very clear line that is easy for one to see.
Birth. The kid is born, he's a person. He isnt? Well then he aint. Want to talk about God's intent for the child? Well by that rationale, God set the 9 month pregnancy period and I'm pretty sure if he'd meant for the kid to come out any sooner he'd have said so. I mean for GOD's sake! He apparantly covered dietary habits and the appropriate means of killing an animal! Seems like a pretty big oversight to not include
"Ideally a child should stay in the womb until born but if the need should arise you can take it out at 6 months"

Because it's also a medical proceedure which they've been trained to do. There are more reasons to terminate a pregnancy than just because the baby isn't wanted. Some babies don't have their spines inside their body--we have a mutation rate in fetuses that's known to be a certain percentage--or their heart is on the outside of the body, or there is only half a skull...these would all require aborting. As well as DNC's, scraping out dead tissue if the baby has died in the womb. Down's syndrome if it's extreme and can be seen on the ultrasound....all sorts of things.

If abortion is murder, why does God instruct the priests how to perform an abortion in Numbers 5:11-31?

Read some Supreme court decisions. Roe v. Wade for example.

cosmo, you are refering to, "The law of jealousies" in the Bible, which condemns and curses the woman to be very unattractive if she has sinned against her husband by cheating. I don't see where it is specifically designed for abortion.

Just an observation.

Because The Justice System has cracks, and religion cannot be a part of politics, so its like they are still stuck with the question they can't answer cuz they knock religion out, When does life begin, they are dumbfounded, and stuck, because they've dug a hole.
When does life begin?
Well if you can't bring religion in, how can you answer that question, I'm sure only God can answer that question, and well they aren't gonna get an answer real soon are they, when God is shut out.

Murder is a legal category, not a moral category. Merely making the rhetorical claim that abortion is murder does not by itself change the legal system any more than making the claim that meat is murder makes eating pork a criminal act.

Sadly, abortions are the choice of the mother.... So it's kinda hard to win a court case against a doctor for doing something you ask for.
