Didn't he teach that we will be "blessed" (set aside for Heaven) if we follow his teachings of how to care about each other and get along with each other?

When Jesus said "I am the way", do you really think he meant his sacrificial body or his "teachings" which he spent his whole life doing.

(Prescription: Read only Jesus' sermons, parables, and advice for 1 week. Then you might be shocked by all the things Paul "made up" about what he thought Jesus meant.)

Dear Jeff -- Who told you Paul was inspired by the Holy Ghost? Ah, yes Paul told you that. And, Paul told you that Peter approved of him. And Paul told you that he knew what Jesus meant. And you told you that Homosexuality was wrong - and he told you that women should not teach, and he even told you that long hair was bad.!!!

So, what you are saying is that we need to get rid of this pesky Bible thing, except for the parts where Jesus was talking. The original church, which included Paul, had it all wrong.

Interesting.

Yes we will be blessed by Good Works, but that will not get us into The Holy Kingdom, we can't earn our right to go there. Jesus Christ said the only way to The Father is through The Son, We are saved by Grace and By Mercy, Whosoever believes in The Son, Believes in The Father, and whosoever believes in The Father Believes in The Son, We have to accept Jesus Christ as our savior, That Jesus went to the cross for out sins, so we can repent, turn away from, and ask forgiveness then ask The Holy Spirit to dwell within us, Before Jesus went to the Cross, Jesus told us, we would not be left without a comforter, that comforter Is The Holy Spirit, The Way is Having Jesus in our Hearts, and knowing The Truth, When we have The Lord we will produce good fruit, good works and be blessed for them, but the only way to The Father is The Son, Whosoever believes this has salvation, and it cannot be taken away.

I don't know what Paul has to do with the issue. He certainly didn't advocate 'accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior.' Otherwise, you're essentially correct, and that is why only 10% of modern Christians believe in salvation via the 'sinner's prayer.'

And if you spend 1 week studying what Paul actually said, I think you will be surprised at how little he actually made up.

Before I answer could I ask Ashley where I can get a "phucking bible" I figure that's got to be an awesome trick...to see a bible phuck.

Anyways I always thought that if there was a Jesus (and I think there may have been a man named Jesus that spoke wonderful things) I think his messages we severely misunderstood.
I think this Jesus would have spoken way ahead of his time and was speaking of something we all have. We all have the light and we all can do wonderful things.
So no I don't think it had anything to do with his body.

If Christian really care about Jesus, they should follow your prescriptions. Read only Jesus and try to understand by yourself (without any help from Paul or any priest) what Jesus really wanted to teach you.
The way you are seeking truth is the best way to find the truth.
You are very near to the actual truth. God bless you!

Get high on J's Law is no different
than getting high on Moses' Law;
Or just maybe there is perhaps a difference,
between Moses' "seat" & Jesus "standing".

Stephen went with Jesus standing in Acts 7:55,
and J-Law got him cast out and stoned to death.

Hmm, I wonder if there is a moral to all this & that?
I wonder it says eternal salvation is through J-->C?

Moral? Getting high on either M or J may be euphoric,
but law: the strength of sin's death sting, will sting you.
Better to go higher than the heavens where C is seated.
For where C is seated is not some only right, but all right.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Tell you what, tear out the parts of the Bible you don't like and add in whatever you want. Try for about the same thickness so nobody notices. Yes, you can write in your own "scripture" or change things around later if you like. Paul's wrong, we need to listen to you instead. I always enjoy hearing new revelation.

When people say to "accept him as your savior", you need to see this in light of people who actually reject Him. Jesus said if you're not FOR me, you're AGAINST me.

So, yes - we MUST accept that He IS the Son of God, that He IS the Savior, and that "EVERY knee shall bow to Jesus, and EVERY tongue shall confess to the glory of God."

Because if you do NOT accept these things about Him, you can NOT be "born again" (or "saved").

ANY body can follow his "teachings", he even said that many would come in that day and say "Didn't we " do this, or do that "in your name", and he will say "But I never KNEW you! Depart from me, you workers of iniquity!"

Oh, as I continue to read down, I see this is really an attack on Paul.

OK then. Since it was Luke who wrote about Saul's conversion (who later changed his name to Paul) in the book of Acts, we must throw out the book of Acts, along with the gospel according to Luke.

Also, John said that the Word of God was God and became flesh, so you need to throw out both the gospel of John, john's 3 epistles, and the book of revelations which describes Jesus (by John, who was with Jesus) as the First and the Last.

Also, you need to throw out Peter, because HE said "You are the anointed Son of God"

Hey, why not just throw out ALL the Bible, while you're at it, since you're already on a roll!!!!!

Sorry, but you lose! You are following the path of satan, laid down by lies and deception and disagreement with God and His Word!

Matthew 11:28-30 Also, as mentioned, He taught us to perform the Ordinance of Humility and to take part in the Lord's Supper. These things taught His Sacrifice and are about accepting Him as our Lord and Saviour.
