No, the whole world will NOT be destroyed in 10 yrs by unchecked global warming! However, given a sufficient rise in average global temperature, all ice on the surface of the Earth may melt, thereby raising sea level around the world from several inches to several feet (depending on whether the ice that melted was supported by water or dry land). No ice also means the Earth's albedo will probably decrease, resulting in even more warming. If we add in some more CO2 from a surge in third-world industrialization, it could mean a rise of several degrees in average global temperature. To allow for all these effects, I plan to buy beach-front property in Montana now, while it is still inexpensive, and wait for the ocean view to appear in my back yard.

No! I get almost as angry when hearing claims like this as from hearing people denying global warming to be a problem at all.

Global warming is really serious, but it's extremely unlikely that it will ever kill all life on earth. Although it may lead to mass extinctions within the coming century there is still very far from completely destroying the earth's ability to maintain life.

IPCC estimated that we have the next 10 years to reverse the trend of emissions of greenhouse gases and although it right now looks to go in the wrong direction with MORE greenhouse gases emitted and glaciers melting in a faster speed than calculated, that still doesn't mean the whole humanity or planet is doomed.

Lmao! Omg human beings. it rather is like communism another time. anybody panicked over no longer something. there is noting incorrect with our planet appropriate now. What makes you think of in 10 years it is going to be lifeless? confident we've all seen those very dramatic photographs of the ice caps melting. nicely no longer something undesirable has took place yet. the sea ranges have not budged an inch. they are in a position to aim to pin "severe climate" on international warming... yet atypical issues take place with the aspects each and every 300 and sixty 5 days. keep in mind the entire el nino and el nina ingredient some years in the past? That became in the past this entire "green" pass, and meteorologist had reasons to how they worked. and those reasons did no longer contain international warming. it rather is all merely political propaganda. Democrats attempt to scare you into thinking international warming is genuine, and Republicans attempt to scare you into thinking terrorism is a severe threat. they have the two accomplished a particularly solid job.

No, but there will be significant environmental changes starting to happen because the changes are going to start accelerating
the longer we don't make fundamental changes in the way we do things. But even that will only make a partial impact; if we don't stop the significant increase in population expected in the next 40-50 years, anything we do will just be plowed under by the shear number of new mouthes to feed and the resource depletion that goes along with that.

Global Warming will gradually warm the earth melting the polar caps. Eventually the water level will rise. The world won't end but some changes will be necessary. And if the world will end or be destroyed it would most likely be farther in the future.

The world is changing not dieing.I would not buy any property near sea level and I would sell while it`s still dry if i owned it.But the best thing is no one really knows what`s going to happen till it does. Always be prepared for the worst and hope it never happens.

Relax - we have about 5 billion years until the sun envelopes Earth as it expands into a Red Giant.

I'd suggest you stop attending those workshops.
