Get some preperation H and fallow the directions for both internal and external application. Also a stool softener and plenty of liquids can keep the irritation during bowl movements to a minimum.

Bleeding a little is okay. You don't need to worry until she loses, say, a cup or two when trying to have a bowel movement.

She needs fiber. Miralax 1 scoop in any food or drink (undetectable) works with no cramping or gas, so gentle, but produces a movement in 24 hours. Take it every day.

She'll be okay. Get some Preparation H and have her cover her anus with it, or call the dr. and ask for Procto-foam. Great stuff. Helps the pain tremendously.

Take care,
Debbie
Not an expert, but been there, done that.

It's not uncommon for people to suffer from hemorrhoids and bleed. The tucks are great. There are also some over the counter creams that she can use. Worst case she can have them removed (surgery). She should drink lots of water (helps stool not get so hard) and eat plenty of fiber (fruits, veggies and grains). My mom even eats this granola stuff or a bowl of raisin bran for breakfast each morning to help keep her regular.

Use some prepeation H. Also avoid food types (spicy etc.) that can inflame hemmorhoids. If they continue schedule to have laser surgery it works really well.

did your mom said it was painful for her to pass feces and is she often constipated? if it is painful, means your mom is having external hemorrhoid. internal hemorrhoid is not painful but still, there is blood that goes out with feces. the blood is due to rupture of hemorrhoidal plexus of veins. i dont know whether there is any serious matter regarding hemorrhoid. some people can live with hemorrhoid for years.
