why dont you stop jumping to conclusions. He most likely sees you as someone he wants to be friendly with.

As Sara A said, as you get older, generally what is wanted is more of a serious relationship than just a casual dating relationship (which may or may not include sex). There is nothing wrong with it contrary to many opinions. It is illegal mind you, if you do anything sexual with him. But if he's serious about you (which is something you will need to find out) and you are serious about dating him (and I mean long term) then you can go for it, otherwise don't.
And if you consider him and he tells you he wants you for you, then don't put out for a long time and don't go to isolated places or into such situations. What one says and what one thinks can be very different things unfortuantely.

see, i don't think it should be illegal for an 18 yr old to date a 14 yr old because mentally and emotionally they are the same . i never could date a guy my age b/c they were just way too immature. but unfortunately he will get in alot of trouble if there was anything physical between you two. i know it seems like a lifetime, but wait it out. good luck!!

I was in this same situation and did end up dating this guy when i was 14 and he was 18. We just resently broke up and im almost 17. I talked to him before i dated him, and he wasnt looking for sex. Talk to him, and just maybe he will wait. I dated this kid for over 2 years and we didnt have sex. It is definitaly possible for an older guy to want to date you and not want sex.
Good luck, just make the right choice.

Listen... the age difference between 14 and 18 is significantly different in terms of development, experiences and priorities.
It is good that you are questionning this.
Your insincts are right.
If you feel at any time that you lose control of this situation, talk to responsible people you trust for specific guidance.

Please be careful. A lot happens to a person between age 14 and 18. You are right to be concerned about his intentions. I just wouldn't be alone with him. If he does try to have sex with you, it would be against the law (in most states). He may be a perfectly nice guy, but I'd keep a safe distance just to make sure.

Ive seen this plenty of times *yes my school is messed up* but anyways. Not so much innapropriate, aslong as you guys havent done anything, and make sure he knows that you dont want too. But usually A senior would go out with a lower classmen and get them to do stuff sexually with them cuz they are easier to convince, but they dont really care for you after they graduate you prob wont ever hear from them again unless they want sex. So just respect yourself and he shall respect you

Does he even know that you are 14? If he doesn't then you should tell him and see if he is still interested.
Dating him isn't illegal. Doing anything sexual with him is, including heavy petting and prolonged kissing. If you have your parents approval to date, then do what you feel comfortable with. If you date him it would be best to make the dates as public as possible, or at least at first. That way you can get to know him and gauge his intentions.

I'm 14 and I wouldn't date a senior at my high school...That's kind of inappropriate to even be interested in a 14 year old at that age...Would you want to date a freshman if you were a senior?

It really is up to you if you want to go out with him, you should get to know him better before making any actions though. Im a sophomore and I go out with a Senior, and I was thinkin the same thing but I got to know her and its all been good from there. Get to know him would be my answer.

I think you should stay friends. You know how older guys tend to think. But try a Junior or Sophy. But not the seniors plus I don't think ur parents would approve. I know mine wouldn't.
