A family member of mine takes prescribed pain meds (Norco) and still drives around. He's been doing this for a few years. I always come up with an excuse when he asks if my kids want to go somewhere with him. Is it against the law to drive when you take a high amt of prescribed pain meds?

YES, that is called a DUI. I f he is driving using narcotics then he is putting everyone on the road and in the car at risk for serious injury. If he gets caught then he could go to jail.

I take oxycodone 30mg 4 times a day and have no problem, nor do any of my riders notice any difference. I am opiod tolerant however, as I have been prescribed this med for years. For someone brand new, be careful.
