My mother specifically told me not to eat the leftover cake in the fridge, and I did anyway. I called her and made a big fuss about my dad eating it before I got a chance to, and she seemed fine. I am afraid that she knows I'm lying! What should I do if she confronts me about it?

It's not big deal, just tell her that you were the one who ate the cake. She might get mad, but it's not that major of a situation. Just admit that you lied about it and don't blame something like that on your dad. Lying, especially over something as minor as this, is a really bad habit to get into.

you would lose alot if you lied especially your mom's trust but you wouldn't anythng if you told the truth... so wat if she got mad at you ... she is your mother... eventually everyone will forget and be happy... just apologize and tell her that you were afraid of her reaction that's why you said that to her

Why are you lying about it? Why are you disobeying your mom? Grow up.
