i dated a guy and fell in love and he was much much younger than me.... i felt so guilty or insecure that it tore me up and i dumped him because i felt like i couldn't find the fountain of youth & be his age.
now i have a man nearly my age and feel no self doubts.

I think you should ravage this nice young man and give him all your heart and soul and never ever question yourself like i did...... sure wish someone was around long ago when i needed advise, for sure i'd still be with that nice young lively hunk (i see him often around town & he's still unattached) instead of a couch potato who's now like myself.

Age shouldn't matter, but it does. Part of what brings people together is shared experiences. People of different generations usually have different experiences. You are also in different stages in life. The 40-year old male second childhood is so common, it's almost a cliche. But by 53, most people are over the whole midlife crisis thing. So much depends on what you're looking for too. Do you want a fling? A marriage? A companion? Or a sexual tryst? 37 year old men are usually good for *something* (wink).

In the end, you're going to do what feels right to you, regardless of what kinds of answers you get here. Good luck.

Personally No I don't. But it should only matter to the two of you how it looks or feels. John Q Public is going to find fault with just about anything out there these days.

No. Age difference is not a big deal these days as long as both of you are comfortable with it. I think the two of you should talk about it if it is a concern. Remember, be open and honest with those you like.

Damn if the guy likes you go for it! It is tough for women these days as us men try and nail the younger ones but you have the Demi attitude and I respect that.

Since he is 37, he is mature enough but again I say do it! Just do it!

You are both grown, so if you like him and he likes you, go for it. After the age of 18, ages is just a number. Good luck to you!
