I am going to mexico this month but I don't have my passport, I am going to need it?

you should need one, unless you sneak in the other way which Im sure is much harder for some reason

YES, if flying, you need a passport. You will not be allowed onto the airplane if you don't have one.

NO, if driving or walking across, not until sometime next year, but it's easier if you have one. Without it, you will need a certified copy of your birth certificate and a government-issued photo ID.

Not for Mexico but yes to get back in to the US

If you are flying: yes, you MUST have a US passport.

If you are using a land border, NO, you do not need a US passport yet.
