Maybe it would be financially unviable to make aeroplanes out of this material- but then why have a health service that costs billions of pounds to run?

Or, maybe it would be far too expensive to build engines that could withstand the increased weight of the aeroplanes- but how much does it cost to replace the aeroplanes that are destroyed during crashes and improve the design of engines to attends to defects etc. and limit the contribution they had to the crashes in the first place?

I think weight has a factor to do with it, and also airlines are cheap and wouldn't pay to have these built, as you said it might cost more to replace a an airplane but thats what insurance is for.

The plane would be too heavy to get off the ground.
As far as health services are considered, if you think of how much money people put into health insurance each month and equate it out for a single family that is over $8,000 a year. I pay about $6,000 a year and because of co-pays if I do go to the doctors the insurance doesn't have to pay anything at all. In the past 15 years I have been to the doctor for minor things just about 6 times, yet I have to shell out $6,000 a year so other people can pay for their health needs? The current system screws the healthy people.

The Black Box is made of a material that is too heavy to be used for an entire plane. It would simply weigh it down, or even, not allow the plane to take off properly.

Additionally, "The box can cope with an impact force equal to 3400 times its weight, survive a fire for one hour and it's also waterproof just in case the plane crashes into the ocean. And it's painted orange not black so it can be found easily".

Interestingly, the black box was invented by an Australian in the 1950's. His name was Doctor David Warren.
(I had to mention that because he's an Aussie, as am i :)

I hate to burst your bubble, but both the black box and the airplane are made of aluminum. The black box is just thicker and stronger. There would be no advantage to an airplane that was made to survive an impact at the speeds they fly at, the contents of the plane could never survive such an event.

In relation to their size, planes are relatively light. This helps in the process by which they are able to fly. The black box would have to be made of a very heavy durable substance so to make a whole plane out of it would defiantly make it far to heavy.

I believe the material used in making black boxes is heavy and expensive and can't be compared to magnesium and aluminum, which are light, malleable and readily available

im guessing that there really heavey and that it'll cost alot of cash to make all the Aeroplane out of it
