Resident status takes a bit longer than it used to. You will most likely be able to enter the U.S., but becoming a legal resident takes time.

Get a visitors visa and marry her HERE! Otherwise you'll be waiting a couple of years to be together. Your spouce may want to consider moving to you if a visa is not allowed at this time. They will have to live with you for at least a few months to prove your marriage is real. And PLEASE, file in your country if you do that. It definately is better and quicker. I'm waiting for my husband for 16 months now, and I dont see him comming any time soon. Good luck to you

It depends on how you plan on entering the US. I met and married my Latinamerican husband while he was here on a tourist visa. That complicated things a bit, meaning that when the visa expired he had to go home and wait for his paperwork to be processed. It took right under two years. He was granted visas to visit but they were only for 30 days and he always went home on time. I lived in Mexico DF for a year too.
Its expensive and it takes a long time, but it is worth it.
Bigdell, C'mon Im met a Mexican while he was here on a visa and we got married and went thru the entire process, alot marry for the wrong reasons but not all. DOnt be so quick to judge.

I think the American citizen should come with you to YOUR homeland. Its less draining on all of us...

It's obvious that you are just getting married to come to America, and that is pathetic. How much are you paying for this marriage scheme?
